I have been watching my daughter perform in a dance festival all week and I am run down. It is cold here in England and have picked up the flu. I have a very sore throat, Thick head and all hot and cold sweats.
I must rest this week as I'm off to Preston Temple with the ward as it is our week to visit. The youth have got Baptisms, so i have loads for them to do.
I will post the pictures i take when i get back.

Health
I have been struggling to lose some more weight these past couple of weeks. I have been going to slimming world to help and I have been making some great recipes. But now i have got a bit sluggish with the weather turning cold quickly.
I am needing now to make the soups to keep warm. Hopefully making the chilli too will do the trick.
We shall see. Well im off to look for some more photo's and stories to put on here for family and friends to read.

Reunion
I decided that next year my family are having a family reunion in October during the school holidays so not to take any children out of school.
It is still in the slow process, so watch this space for more details.
I want Edinburgh to be the main Central meeting place as It is a larger city and most of the family live close by. The only ones that will be travelling lots of miles is myself and family as we live in England.
There is going to be lots happening on that day. How much can i cram in I ask myself.....hmmmmm let me see. Breakfast (food)...games with the kids, Lunch (more food).. Activities involving the adults and children.
Photo sessions with all the families together and seperate. Swap details. More food and games and farewells. Sounds good to me so far.
I spoke to my sister Carole on the phone about the reunion and is happy to have it in October school holidays. She is now working full time in Housekeeping at one of the big hotels in Edinburgh. Her husband is in Nigeria. She was married to him last year and the Embassy are not letting him move to this country yet.
Soon hopefully. To be continued........

The Beginning
My name is Cathy Summersell. I was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1962. I am an AITKEN clan and now live in England.
I am from a family of 9 siblings and we are all scattered around the UK.
I am constantly on the search for additions to my family tree.
I look forward to making that connection and also sharing photographs is great as you can put a face to a name. Also ready the stories from the past helps understand the conditions some actually lived through. There are happy ones and sad ones.
